The accident scene
Up close with a Bald Eagle – America’s National Bird. He is a regular visitor to our neighborhood.
Stefan at the baptismal site of Jesus
Stefan was treated to a barber experience in Turkey
Kenneth won 1st Prize at his school’s Science Fair in the Biochemistry category.
Another cultural experience – attending a basketball game. The view of the court from our seats. And yes, some of us do have fear of heights!
Hi there, So sorry to hear about the accident. The damage to the front of the car must be severe for the car to be written off. Do hope something will turn up as one is lost without transport. Am so grateful that you, Marie, are not seriously hurt but just the experience is a big shock to your system. Trust you will soon be well. Congratulations Kenneth on your science achievement. I hardly recognized him so he has matured. Will remember you in SA Stefan, which is this week, is the conference in Johannesburg? We are fine. Just want to let you know that I am going on my own to visit Lynell in England. Edwin is adamant not to go through all the hassles that come with travelling. I leave on 19 March, was in Pta for my visa on 9 Feb. and atleast there is more organization for on the 13th Feb. the courier delivered my passport. I am a bit nervous going on my own but I feel whilst I still can, I must go and also for Daryn’s 10th birthday on 28th March. Isn’t Monica’s birthday before or after him? Congrats to you Marie on 13th with your birthday. I shall be away for 7 weeks so trust Edwin will be OK here and Warren and family don’t live far from us. Warren has offered him meals in the evening. They are going to CT for Two Oceans marathon which Jackie, my daughter-in-law is taking part it. She has been training a lot since she is not working at moment. The children have enjoyed her being at home. Being a director of a pathology business became too stressful for her and her health was affected so she decided to opt out. Time will tell what she will be doing next. It will be 2 years in June that we sold our house and moved to Aliquando. For me it has been a very big adjustment and am still not really settled. I must say that I leave Edwin with mixed feelings – he said he will help the children with their airtickets for them to rather come to SA. Now that Daryn in Gr. 5 not so easy to keep them out of school. Ryan also in Gr. 1 now. Both boys are keen soccer players and Daryn doing very well, also in athletics so he is fast. It will be good to see them again and to spend time there. We have experienced a very hot summer with little rain but fortunately no water restriction yet since we had a heavy storm. Load shedding carries on though, one never knows when the lights will go off. We have been very lucky in our area lately. Chaos when the robots are affected, especially in Jhbg. lots of accidents. All the best to you all. God bless you in all you do. Love Illona
